What Have I Written?

3 NotebooksI write for many national and regional publications including The New York Times, The Los Angeles Times, The SF Chronicle, Time Magazine and San Francisco Magazine. I was the Bay Area theater and performance critic for the Santa Rosa Press Democrat for the last decade, covering the Bay Area film festivals for them as well. I served as the national music critic for Parenting Magazine for the past 4 years. I currently review film and DVDs for Common Sense Media. In addition to writing about arts, entertainment, and kids’ culture, I write about travel, lifestyle and  popular culture.  I wrote a monthly Go Gadgets column for Continental Airlines Magazine and a Cybertainment column for the LA Times, which was syndicated by Reuters.

Here’s some stuff I wrote. Check the theater, film, TV etc pages for way much more
