In addition to my career in journalism, I served as publicist and media relations consultant for a boutique hotel in the Santa Cruz wine country. In this capacity, I communicated with Bay Area and national editors and writers and tailored story ideas to their needs. I researched and wrote press releases and social media content, maintained a web presence and managed press relations. During my time there, our team received Travel Weekly’s Magellan Award.
